Whether you're a beginner climber or a veteran rock warrior, getting a fresh perspective on your climbing abilities from the eyes of a climbing coach is a humbling experience. 

These folks are trained to help climbers hone their techniques and spot areas for improvement that could be holding them back from reaching their climbing goals.

Lattice Climbing Assessment (Remote)

Have a partner who's really into training for climbing or feeling stuck in a plateau?

The folks over at Lattice Training have created a fully remote, intensive climbing assessment that can be adapted for climbers at any level...and it's only $30!

Climbers complete a series of tests in their home gym before sending the results to Lattice to be analyzed for strengths and weaknesses.

Coaching plans aren't included, but the assessment can help you highlight things to work on in the future.

Support your local rock climbing guides

Outdoor climbing areas wouldn't exist without the often-overlooked work of local rock climbing guides. These are the folks who prepare boulders and routes for climbing, develop trails, and compile information.

Buying a guidebook is a great place to start. You could also make a donation for gear placements/anchors/rescues if your climbing partner isn't big on gift-giving. 

Local rock gyms or climber coalition groups will happily put you in touch with the right people.
