9 Climbing Resolutions for 2025

9 Climbing Resolutions for 2025

As 2024 comes to an end, it's time to reflect on all the lessons climbing has taught us and think about what we'd like to improve looking forward.

In the spirit of ringing in the New Year, we asked our Dynamite Starfish community to share their climbing resolutions for 2025.

Scroll on to see what these climbers had to say!

Climb something fun, big, and easy, maybe with spaghetti and beer at the top

Any climbing goals that involve 5.FUN!, snacks, and send beers are right up our alley.

They might not make the "most impressive" tick list, but we guarantee a happy climber and a happy stomach!

Take a climbing trip out west

Did someone say climbing trip?!

Traveling to new climbing areas is one of the most fulfilling aspects of our sport. Between the otherworldly landscapes, local food, and meeting folks from different communities, you're bound to head home with a full heart.

Take the adventure with you in 2025, whether you're going to the towering walls of Yosemite or visiting a nearby crag!

Climb into the New Year by stepping outside of your comfort zone with a totally different climbing discipline!

Ditch the crash pad for a day of sport climbing. Ask that Trad Dad to show you his rack. Go for some Type 2 Fun ice climbing. Heck, you might even find a new passion!

Climb all of California's 14ers

Our motto “Keep Climbing” is a little reminder to keep moving forward, and upwards toward our goals no matter how big or tall they may be.

Whatever mountain you plan on climbing in 2025, you got this!

Relax and learn to trust my feet when scared

If you've ever been high off the deck with your heart racing and legs wobbling like overcooked noodles, know that you're not alone! Fear in rock climbing happens to everyone from beginners to pros.

The next time you feel yourself starting to tremble, challenge yourself to take a few deep breaths and make that next move.

And if all else fails, you can always say sorry for what you said while cruxing once you're back on the ground...

V6. Oh crap, it’s documented.

The hardest part of goal setting is often verbalizing your ambitions to others. Placing an objective in writing when there's a real possibility of failure is scary; however, it might be that extra piece of motivation you need to follow through.

So grab a pen, write down your climbing goals, and get ready to Try, Try, Try, & Send in 2025!

More like a manifestation: first V5 this year!

Say it loud. Say it proud. This year I'm going to climb __________!

Crimps, slopers, slabs, overhangs...with so many gyms and climbing areas to choose from, all that's left to do is find a line that inspires you and get ready to CLIMB ON!

Be able to climb again

Injuries, illness, and life have their funny way of getting between the things we love most.

If you've had to take a break from climbing for whatever reason or whatever length of time, just know that the rocks will always be here waiting for you ❤️.

Start hangboard training to catch my finger strength up

If you've been climbing for a while and feeling stuck in a plateau, make your 2025 climbing motto the year to get Stoked for training. Hang's up dude!

Psst...not sure where to start? Shoot us a DM on Instagram. We'd be happy to share some resources!
