As you all probably know, yesterday was March 8, International Women's Day. In honor of so many womxn boldly making waves, we chose this interview to share with on this particular day. We think the work she is doing both in the climbing space and otherwise is so important. Here's Brittany Leavitt!

Today we are interviewing Southern California rock climber, Maddy Volo!

A1: Hi, my name is Maddy (she/her)! I am 25 years old and I am an analytical chemist working in the environmental field.

Hi folks! I hope you are enjoying our weekly Climber Interviews! We hope these interviews inspire you to be completely and honestly yourself. Today we are interviewing JAKe* Sanchez. He is a 32 year old competitive adaptive climber.

My name is Natalie, most people call me Nat. You can refer to me as she/her as well :). I have circled the sun 25 times and my regular day job is being a Registered Nurse!

Aside from climbing, I'm a big foodie, I love watching anime, and playing League of Legends! (Fun fact: When I created my Instagram handle @gnatonthewall, I thought .. "Ok, my name is Nat. Or like Gnat is an annoying fly. Ok. and I like wearing Vans off the wall... Omg! It'll be GNAT ON THE WALL!).
