Dynamite Starfish began in 2014 with humble roots in an urban apartment. Never intending to start a business, Leslie made drawings about all the places she loved to rock climb.
Eventually, her friends convinced her to print her artwork on t-shirts, and Dynamite Starfish was born.
Leslie Kim is an artist, designer, and climber living in Los Angeles, California. She is passionate about making art about shared human experiences. She hopes everyone who wears her designs is inspired to live and love at their very best.
From the start, we knew that simply raising stoke for outdoor climbing wasn't going to be enough. We had to try to offset that traffic somehow.
We've partnered with local organizations like the Friends of Joshua Tree, The Friends of the Inyo, The American Safe Climbing Association, and more to aid their efforts in raising awareness about outdoor ethics.
5% of our profits are currently donated to the Access Fund, and we do what we can help climbers employ responsible, safe, and mindful practices outside.
